Fundamentals & Classical Training Jennifer O.

Dance Arts has been a wonderful place for my daughter. They have provided her with not only great dance training, but a place to call a second home. Teresa Vidak and her staff teach fantastic choreography that is always age appropriate and classy. We came to Dance Arts after 5 years at another studio, and we have never regretted our decision to change. Recitals never disappoint, and are always beautiful and fun. Teresa communicates well with the parents, she is always personable and supportive. We are proud to be with Dance Arts!

Both my daughters started dancing at Dance Arts when they were in pre-school and continued through high school. As a parent, it was important to me to have them learn dance skills but also to be in a place where they felt safe and respected. Dance Arts is that type of environment. The staff are positive role models and take the time to get to know each student and their families. My daughters developed dance skills that allowed them to be successful not only at the studio but also with high school dance teams. Performances and recitals are beautifully designed and were the highlight of my daughters' years in dance.

Our family loves Dance Arts. My three daughters have been at this studio for the last seven years. The studio is located in the heart of downtown Visalia giving it that quaint, community centered feeling. The dance director, Teresa Vidak, is a wonderful mentor for all the girls. She and her staff do a great job of balancing fun and creativity, while developing serious and challenging dance skills. I've seen older girls come to the studio, with no prior dance experience, and by the end of the year, they don't miss one step on stage. They are able to keep up with “seasoned” girls come performance time! This is a true testimony to the instructors and their level of commitment to every student. There is a place for every dancer at Dance Arts, at every level. Also, it's highly affordable. Having all three girls take tap, jazz, and ballet at Dance Arts fits perfectly within our budget. Dance Arts delivers results to my little dancers, and is a wonderful place for them to grow.

I started dancing at Dance Arts when I was 5 years and didn’t stop until 16 years later. I made best friends and new family members during my time there that I will never forget! I also got to experience and learn so much about the dance world while there. The technique and knowledge I gained starting out as a child carried me well into early adulthood, and it’s all thanks to the amazing teachers and assistants. Their passion and love for dance set great examples for me to look up to, along with the staff just being great human beings! I recommend Dance Arts to any and every one I come across that is looking for a fun and great experience for their child.

We are proud to call Dance Arts our dance studio and our second home! My daughter has been dancing there for 6 years now, and I have nothing but the highest accolades for how Teresa runs her studio. It has a wonderful balance professionalism and respect, yet warm and nurturing. The atmosphere there causes the girls to WANT to take their lessons seriously, and instills a sense of pride in what they do. They know they are not there to waste time, and instructors hold high standards for the girls. But it is not so high-pressured that it becomes discouraging. They know they are loved and valued, each one of them uniquely, for who they are.

My daughters have attended Dance Arts for the past 9 years. Since the time my girls were three years of age, Dance Arts has provided a positive learning environment with an emphasis on the fundamentals of dance. Teresa Vidak and her team foster a love of dance.   I am always impressed by the hard work and dedication of the Dance Arts team during the annual recitals. I love that the costumes are always fun while still being modest.   Due to the passion and commitment of the Dance Arts team my daughters have developed a passion for dance that will last them a lifetime.   I am thankful to have such a wonderful place to send my children.   Dance Arts is truly an asset to our community and I can't imagine going anywhere else.

When I read the other statements, all I could think was these are exactly the reasons my girls are at Dance Arts. Teresa gives our girls much more than dance. The other night someone asked me "Why do you pay so much money for your daughter to dance?" Well I have a confession to make, I don't pay for dance. So if I am not paying for dance what am I paying for? I pay for those moments when my daughter is so tired she wants to quit but doesn't. I pay for those days when my daughter comes home from school and is "too tired" to go dance but goes anyway. I pay for my daughter to learn to be graceful. I pay for my daughter to learn to take care of her body. I pay for my daughter to learn to work with others and to be a good team mate. I pay for my daughter to learn to deal with disappointment when she can't quite get a move down, but still has to work hard to get it right. I pay for my daughter learn to make and accomplish goals. I pay for my daughter to learn that it takes hours and hours and hours and hours of hard work and practice to create something beautiful, and that success does not happen over night. I pay for the opportunity my daughter has and will have to make life-long friendships. I pay so that my daughter can be on stage instead of in front of a TV screen... I could go on but to be short, I don't pay for dance, I pay for the opportunities that dance provides my daughter to develop attributes that will serve her well throughout her life and gives her the opportunity to bless the lives of others. From what I have seen so far I think it is a great investment! I am sure that other parents get similar questions. "Why do you pay for competitive baseball?" "Why do you pay for Quarterback training?" "Why do you pay for club soccer?" "Why does your kid swim year round?".... I just think it is important to realize what we are really paying for.
